Surrounded by vintage finds from a 38-star U.S. flag dating back to circa 1876 to a vintage scoreboard rescued from an old schoolhouse gym at the corner of Bluff Street and Epler. Shallo’s opened on Hardegan Street in 1981 as a welcoming neighborhood restaurant built on good food, cold drinks, and genuine hospitality. Forty-five years later, it remains independently owned, in the same location, and a longtime favorite for generations of local families.

Explore more than 300 bottled beers, 40 rotating drafts, and selections from over 21 countries—from Belgian Trappist ales and classic German lagers to small-batch American craft brews and sought-after Goose Island Bourbon County releases. Take on one of our “Brew Crew Drink Around the World” plaque lists, and once you complete it, you can customize your own plaque and choose where it’s displayed at Shallo’s.

Vintage Shell signs, a scoreboard clock, an antique telephone booth, and a collection of historic L.S. Ayres' photographs in our banquet room are just a few of the treasures found throughout Shallo’s. Our restored sister cabinets—recovered from an old cigar store after a fire—remain standing today, displaying a unique collection of vintage beer. Together, these decades of collected history give Shallo’s a character no new build could replicate.
